"Wish for Beijing Olympic", a grand Tibetan opera, has been approved as one of programs in the opening ceremony of Beijing Olympics after the preliminary examination.

The 3-minute program is composed of three chapters including "Jubilant Snowland", "Graceful Snowland" and "Wish for Olympics" and performed by 90 actors from the TAR Opera Troupe,  Nyangri folk Tibetan opera troupe and students of the Tibetan Opera Class in Tibet University. It expresses Tibetan people's joy and wishes for Beijing Olympics through the distinct dance, aria, prologue and garment of Tibetan opera.

We are willing make people from all over the world better understand our culture through this program, says Tashi Dorje, vice-director of TAR Culture Department.
