The Grand Hotel Tibet (Xizang dasha) was constructed in 1987, and enjoys a good location, very close to the Potala Palace, and the Jokhang Temple.
It belongs to the General Office of Tibetan Autonomous Region. The built up area is 14,748 square meter.
The hotel has four buildings, and all the rooms are spacious, comfortable and elegantly decorated. They are equipped with air conditioning and TV, IDD and hot water are supplied around the clock. For dining, there are various styles of restaurant, providing different food from China, Tibet and the west.
The hotel also provide good facilities for business travelers; different conference rooms are available for meetings and a business center provides typing and fax facilities. For recreation, there is a gymnasium, tennis court, outdoor swimming pool, massage and bars.
