Tibet Landscape

Tibet has the unique landscape attracting almost every person who has been to it—a glance at a topographic map of the world tells you why. The plateau has a very distinct and protruding landscape, having a boot-like feature, which locates in the southwest of China.
Tibet has an average elevation of 4,900 meters(16,000ft), which is the highest region on the earth. There you can enjoy the majesty and magnificence of Mt.Kailash. If you like, you can also enjoy hiking for a while.
Tibet has beautiful scenery, some of which are world-famous. It is comparable to any other attraction, including Shangri-La, the mythical Himalayan utopia. With the plateau offering a completely breathtaking experience to its visitors across the globe, Tibet has become a popular tourist destination.
The northern and eastern parts of Tibet are bordered by the Central Plains of China, the west is Kashmir, the north is bordered by Xinjiang, and the southern neighbors are Nepal, India, and Bhutan.
Some of the highest mountains in the world are located on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, and some of them are among the top ten in the world. Mount Everest is 8,848 meters (29,029 feet), the highest mountain on the planet, at the border between China and Nepal.
Tibet is the birthplace of several major rivers in Asia. They include the Yangtze River, the Yellow River, the Indus River, the Mekong River, the Ganges River, the Salween River and the Yarlung Zangbo River (Yalung Zangbo River). These rivers have bred millions of people in Central Asia , East Asia, and South Asia, while coastal areas have become the seeds of various civilizations.
Tibet has numerous high-altitude lakes with beautiful scenery. These include Lake Manasarovar, Namtso and so on. The Lake Namtso has picturesque feature and vast size,It is now the second largest lake in Tibet and the third largest saltwater lake in China. The lake is 4,718 meters above sea level and is the large lake which is the highest in the world. The lake has an average depth of 33 meters and a water storage capacity of 76.8 billion cubic meters. In Tibetan, Namtso means "Heavenly Lake”.
Tibet is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and least polluted places on the planet, but the negative effects of global warming have gradually affected Tibet, where we have found several signs of environmental degradation. Therefore, when you travel to Tibet, please pay attention to protect the local natural environment.
Then let’s introduce something about traveling in Tibet. The temperature difference between day and night in all seasons in Tibet is relatively large, and full-scale spiritual, physical and material preparations should be made for tourism to Tibet.

  1. When the average person reaches an altitude of 2000 meters or more, altitude sickness will occur, especially for the weak. These people should prepare an oxygen bag before entering Tibet, in case they need it.
  2. 2, You must rest well before entering Tibet, otherwise, you will feel a regular headache. It takes 3-5 days to get to the plateau. It is not advisable to travel long distances during the first few days. It is best to go around the hotel to avoid physical discomfort. Once you have symptoms such as a cold, cough, fever, etc., you should see a doctor in time to avoid conversion to emphysema
  3. Prepare sunglasses, sunscreen, sportswear, down jackets, sweaters, travel shoes, flashlights, rain gear, anti-altitude reaction drugs, and other personal self-supplied items; even in summer, you must bring enough warm clothing, using it in the morning and evening.
